Some Doodles and an M. Interpretation

I have managed to get a few doodles down this past week and one attempt at a Master Interpretation done.
My very quick interpretation of Edvard Munch's Madonna
  Below is his version:
I actually drew mine by using Robert Hughes' book The Shock of the New. One idea he mentioned in the section pertaining to Munch and his fellows, was that many Norwegian writers/painters seemed to view women as "a Belle Dame Sans Merci, bringer of anguish and emotional ruin.... [Munch's] women oscillated between fantasies of rape... and visions of woman as devourer." (Hughes 281) Apparently, the Madonna painting showcasing Lilith would be an example of the devouring aspect. The original border and text that was meant to accompany the painting delved into that a tad bit further, from the sounds of it.

Other than that and me slowly finishing The Shock of the New, I managed a few doodles when distracted from other things.
